OVERVIEW

Nexus Maximus is an event held in the Fall by Philadelphia University. It invites students from other universities to collaborate and solve various challenges in technology.

Ranging from June 2016 to September 2016, I created a full website (external & internal) stemming from wireframes and visual designs through a custom WordPress theme.

DEFINE

Nexus Maximus has a reputation for innovative projects surfacing to solve a problem. The goal of this project was to:
  • find a way to represent the information in a “fun” format
  • keep to Philadelphia University’s Branding Guide
  • capture the essence of the event

DISCOVER

Nexus Maximus 2015 was inspected to understand the needs for the event, for highlighting on the 2016 website.

Two sitemaps were created:
  • one for External Access - what was necessary to show for the outside people
  • one for Internal Access - what was necessary for only those participating in the event

DESIGN

  1. From that point, wireframes and visual designs were built for all pieces of the website.
  2. The final website was a WordPress theme and was hosted on WP Engine, with the help of a few plugins.
It was written in HTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript.
